Wow, I can't believe I've already lost track of my blog posts! I promised myself once per week...but you know what? I'm NOT sorry about it, because I got to spend the last two weekends with some people that are important to me who were visiting from out of town!
So now we're back...and I know things are going to get more hectic these next few weeks as the DREADED midterm season approaches!!! That means it is time to hunker down and put my time-management skills to the test! I'll go ahead and predict that I fall behind in my posts again, but I hope I don't disappoint yall too much ;)
This post is going to be mostly a reflection for #ThankfulThursday because there are so many things I have to be thankful for...first and foremost being: Friends & Family. These people have been my stronghold through thick and thin, the highs and lows of life, and have helped me rediscover my purpose and passion in life! I am one of the WORST people with returning phone calls and text messages, especially to the people I love...mostly because they KNOW that is who I am as a person...but that doesn't mean I don't want to try to be better :)
The next thing that I am grateful for are the opportunities I have been allotted...from discovering my passion for group exercise to finding a higher-ed program that fits me: it is am amazing feeling to know that I am impacting the lives of the people around me as I strive to be a better human. The people that have told me that I've made a difference for them are the people that keep me grounded and remind me WHY I am doing what I am doing...so thank YOU to all of those individuals who have impacted ME in that way too.
Finally, I am thankful for my current health and well-being which I feel as though I've taken for granted lately...meanwhile, a dear friend of mine has been kicking cancer's ass, but unfortunately received some upsetting news recently...she is one of the strongest people I know, and her attitude through this fight for her life has been the most impressive display of bravery I have ever seen...
Bre the Braveheart: I am SO thankful to have such a courageous role model such as you. You are my real-life superhero, Wonder Woman, and most beautiful soul of a person I am privileged to know! For those of you who would like to show her some support and love through these difficult times and to send her some EXTRA positive vibes, PLEASE visit her blog at Bre The Braveheart.
STAY STRONG Bre!!!
